Servings: If using 2 inch cookie cutters, makes about 5 dozen cookies.
Chanukah Dreidel Cookes
1/2 c. butter or vegetable shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg1 tsp. grated orange peel
2 tbsp. orange juice
1 c. ground Brazil nuts
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
Cream together butter or shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Stir in egg, orange peel, orange juice, and Brazil nuts.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture.
Stir in almond flavoring.
Chill several hours.
Roll out dough 1/8 inch thick on a lightly floured board.
Cut into "dreidel" shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets in a moderate oven, 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

I have as recipe for chanukah,but it seems that the dough is makes the cookies very dryand hard and a few minutes out of the oven, With tthe dough i make dreidels and menorah,and star of davids to you have another recipe that they don't come out so dry and hard,And eagerly waiting for an answer.Thank you
