What a great holiday recipe! Perfect for working families, this can be assembled early and will cook as long as an entire working day in the slow cooker. Can be adapted to other meats [lamb, goat, chicken....] and contains meat/protein, carrots/vitamin A and fiber, potatoes/starch and other veggies . Like all stews it can be adapted to individual family tastes and there's plenty for all! Nourishing but pretty low in fat -- good one.
