A special recipe for fast and easy Sufganyot (doughnuts) for Chanukah.


2 1/2 cups flour
1 Teaspoon & 1/2 Allspice
1 Teaspoon & 1/2 Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups yogurt
4 Teaspoons Vanilla ligour
Bar cooking chocolate (60% chocloate or higher)


Mix dry ingredients in a bowl

In a separate bowl mix eggs, yogurt, and liquor (vanilla)

Mix all ingredients together in a mixer bowl and mix

Heat oil in frying pan but do not burn

Use a 1/4 cup measure to scoop the batter into the frying pan

When doughnut batter has turned golden brown turn over using 2 spatulas

While doughnuts are cooking breakup chocolate and microwave at a low setting to soften the chocolate

Remove from microwave and mix until creamy

When doughnuts are ready, remove from oil onto a paper towel covered plate

While still hot spread chocolate on top of doughnuts

Serve while still warm and fresh.

Note: To make recipe Parve substitute 2 cups of vanilla soy yogurt.
