This delicious recipe makes a wonderful chocolate flavored cookie. Ingredients1/2 c butter or margarine3/4 c sugar 1 egg 1 t pure vanilla extract 1 1/2 c flour 1/2 c cocoa 1/2 t baking powder 1/2 t baking soda |

DirectionsPreheat over to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets.Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. In a different bowl, combine the butter, sugar, egg and vanilla with an electric mixer until fluffy. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the bowl of wet ingredient. Blend until mixed thoroughly. Chill dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Then divide the dough into four quarters and roll each section out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out 3-inch circles using a cookie cutter or the open end of a glass. Place filling in the center of each circle and form into a triangle as above. Leave some filling exposed and pinch the ends tightly to prevent them from opening while baking. Place cookies on sheet approximately 2 inches apart and bake for 15-17 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
